Warranty Policy

Warranty coverage depends on the approved service and parts supplied. Any written warranty terms provided for your job define the applicable coverage.

What may be covered

When a written warranty is provided, it generally covers the specific workmanship performed and eligible parts supplied by NY City Key for the stated period. We may inspect, test, repair or replace covered work or parts, depending on the written terms and applicable law.

What is not automatically covered

  • Customer-supplied, used, previously programmed, incompatible or counterfeit keys and fobs.
  • Disposable batteries, cosmetic wear, water or impact damage, lost items, misuse or unauthorized modification.
  • Pre-existing or unrelated vehicle battery, ignition, lock, wiring, immobilizer, module, software or aftermarket-equipment problems.
  • Changes caused by a dealer, manufacturer update, another technician, later repair or failure to follow care instructions.

How to request review

Contact us promptly with your name, service date, vehicle details and a clear description of the concern. Do not attempt additional programming or repair before review. Coverage requires reasonable access to inspect the vehicle and original part when applicable.

No universal promise

The website does not create a blanket warranty or guarantee that every vehicle or customer-supplied part can be serviced. Any remedy is limited to the written coverage for the approved job, subject to rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
